Version 4 (Random):
The most commonly used UUID version. Generated using random or pseudo-random numbers. Provides 122 bits of randomness, making collisions extremely unlikely. Best for most use cases.
Version 1 (Timestamp):
Generated based on the current timestamp and MAC address (or random node ID). Useful when you need time-ordered unique identifiers. Contains timestamp information that can be extracted if needed.
Nil UUID:
A special UUID consisting of all zeros (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000). Used as a null or empty placeholder value in systems that work with UUIDs.
